Past Projects
- Video funding for United Youth Action for Progress ChildrenUP supported a local Ugandan NGO’s efforts to promote education in Uganda. The project was completed in 2008 and has been shown on national Ugandan television.
- Recreational Reading Promotion Through a grant from the American Library Association, ChildrenUP was able to obtain recreational reading materials for children in Gulu, Uganda. Read more
- Visitation to Uganda by the director of ChildrenUP in 2005 and 2008 allowed for contacts to be made and an understanding of Acholi culture to be developed.
- A primary school letter exchange occurred between Lincoln School Elementary and Kirombe Primary School.
- In the 1980’s Abitimo Odongkara returned to Uganda and founded UNIFAT. Read more
